The importance of print quality

Print quality is one of the most important factors in achieving great print results. It’s measured by more than just dpi. In fact, print quality is mainly determined by the quality of the combination of ink, paper and printer, as well as the quality of the text and images that result.

But for the ultimate measure of print quality, it’s important to trust your own eyes. Because when it comes to truly great quality, you’ll know it the instant you see it.

Is the ink cartridge important for print quality?

Definitely. With the sheer number of ink cartridges out there in stores and online, finding the right one for your printer is more crucial than ever. In a recent independent study, original HP inks were found to be 35 times more reliable than remanufactured cartridges.* But, relying on cheaper, less expensive refurbished or refilled ink cartridges can actually reduce your printer’s efficiency and increase printer maintenance. In the long run, you may even end up spending more for paper and inferior ink—and wasting valuable time.

How important is paper to print quality?

To achieve optimum results, printing on quality paper is a necessity. HP paper is manufactured specifically for your HP printer and for the type of project you want to print. For example, specially coated HP inkjet papers are primed with a thin adhesive agent to help bind ink and paper together, reduce smearing and enhance faster, more even drying. Which means your freshly printed photos and documents are dry to the touch in seconds, and durable enough to resist fading and retain their true original colors for years to come.

Using original HP papers together with original HP inks and toners will ensure that you always get the brilliant print quality you expect. From laser paper to photo paper, HP has the right paper for all your photos, documents, labels, greeting cards and more.
