assortment of greeting cards

Introduction

You know the recipient better than anyone, and no generic card quite does justice to their unique personality. The solution? Customized greeting cards that you create and print from the HP Activity Center or other popular software programs. Perfect for holidays, birthdays, or any occasion that requires a personal touch, these card designs let you add artistic flourishes, personalize the message, and even upload your favorite digital photos. No store-bought card comes close.

HP photo card

Thank you card
  • Use your sense of humor. Take a favorite joke, and then add your own photo to print a personalized, memorable birthday card. Create your own line of funny greeting cards, or share private jokes.
  • Announce your new bundle of joy. Print your baby’s name and birth stats onto a postcard with a photo of your new arrival. Enter the addresses on the reverse side—no envelope needed. 4" x 8" premium photo cards are an excellent choice.
  • Invitations—gorgeous ones—are easy to make. Whether for a wedding, birthday, retirement party, or other special event, you can create original invites, save-the-day cards and R.S.V.P. cards. Personalize the thank-you notes with a photo from the event.
  • Print a lot of thank you cards at once, and you’ll always have them handy when you need them!
  • Make holiday cards before busy December rolls around. We recommend our HP holiday photo cards.

Tips for printing on greeting card paper

  • Software programs like Microsoft Publisher and Word have templates and tools you can use to make your own designs, or you can access a variety of beautiful (and free) cards at the HP Activity Center.
  • Before using greeting card stock, print your design on plain paper to make sure everything is just as you want it.
  • When printing on both sides, let the first side dry completely before printing the second. This way, you avoid smudges and smears.
  • Make folding easier and straighter by laying a metal-edge ruler where you want to fold. Then, run a scoring tool along the ruler to make a deeper impression.
  • Set your printer to its highest quality setting for the best results when printing photos onto cards.
  • If you frequently print two-sided documents—like cards—consider purchasing a two-sided printing accessory such as a duplexer. It will help you get consistent, speedy results every time. Check to see what models are compatible with your printer at our Home & Home Office store.
