Whether you’re coaching little leaguers or big shots, getting the best out of your team is part information and part inspiration. And with a little help from HP, you can create fun coaching tools that mix the two together and spur your team to victory.
Here are a few suggestions to help you inform and inspire your team.
Team film—Select a few instructive segments from your game film to walk through with the whole team.
Player film—Create short segments on each player from games or practice.
Champions slide show—Mix pictures of your team with pictures of great sports stars, legendary teams and other motivational images.
Go to the videotape
They do it in the pros and you can too—use your digital video camera to capture your team and players in action, or have a team parent operate the camera. Then use your HP Media Center PC to edit the footage into segments you can use to detail strategy, breakdown plays or just highlight great teamwork.
Combine X’s and O’s with a standing ovation
Host a team meeting at your home to go over game film. Talk strategy, X’s and O’s, and team goals. And while you’re going over plays, have parents, grandparents, friends and cheerleaders for the team waiting in the wings to throw a surprise pep rally.
