Materials:

  •  4-10 sheets of card stock
  • Scissors or X-acto knife
  • Glue stick
  • Tape
  • Felt tip pens
  •  Items to place in your scrapbook (photos, scraps of material, clippings, paint, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Print the stickers on sticker paper. Set aside to dry completely.
  2. Print the rest of the artwork on card stock. Set aside to dry completely. (You may want to print several copies of some pages. You'll also need to print three envelopes for one "Loves Me - Loves Me Not" page.)
  3. On the "Here's Your Dream Date" page, cut around the door as indicated by the dashed lines. On a blank sheet of paper, create a collage, draw a picture, or paste a photo of that special someone that you would like to see at your door. Then, glue the "Here's Your Dream Date" page over your creation so that you can view it when you open the door.
  4. On the "My Heart Belongs To" page, cut around the hearts as indicated by the dashed lines. Then glue photos of loved ones over the hearts on the photo page and affix this page behind the "My Heart Belongs To" page. Each heart door should open to reveal a new photo.
  5. Cut out and assemble the three envelopes by folding them along the dashed lines. Once assembled, be sure to cut the half-heart shape all the way through the front and back of the envelope. Then glue the envelopes over the left half of the hearts on the "Loves Me- Loves Me Not" page. You should be able to see a whole heart through the half-heart shape that you cut in the envelope. Place your valentines and love letters in the envelopes, embellish the page, and bind it into your Everyday scrapbook.

Hints:

  • Be imaginative in placing objects on your scrapbook pages, to really personalize them.
  • Arrange your photos, clippings, mementos, notes, etc., before gluing or taping them down.
  • Let the glued materials dry completely.
  • You may want to rearrange the pages after you've put them all in.
  • Remember, this is a work in progress, so don't bind your scrapbook together permanently until it is complete.

Binding suggestions:

  1. Punch holes on the left side of your scrapbook pages (you can buy decorative punches in all sorts of fun shapes).
  2. Thread short lengths of ribbon through the holes, and tie them in loose bows.
  3. Using a three-ring binder with a clear pocket on the front, put the cover page in the pocket.
  4. Then punch three holes in the left side of your scrapbook pages, and put the pages in the binder.
  5. Or, have your scrapbook professionally bound at a copy shop.
