• Use inkjet printers only; laser printers can melt your iron-on and damage the printer.
• For regular iron-on transfers, use white fabric. If you’d rather use color fabric, be sure to use the appropriate transfers.
• Remember that the iron-on should look like a mirror image on screen and in print in order to be oriented correctly when you iron it onto the fabric. This is especially important when using iron-ons with text.

A versatile alternative to traditional greeting card paper is HP Brochure and Flyer paper, which comes in matte and glossy finishes.

• Before printing your finished card, print a preview on plain paper. Make sure everything looks the way you want it to look, and check spelling.
• When you are ready to print the card, set your printer to its highest quality setting.
• If you are not using pre-scored cards, create a crisp fold by laying a metal-edged ruler where you’d like the fold to be. Then use a scoring tool, such as the back of a butter knife, to create a straight line and make the card easier to fold.

• The natural oils in your hands can smudge vellum, so be sure your hands are clean and dry before handling it.
