HP-UX 11i v3 Update 4 overview Upgrading from original HP-UX 11i OEs (FOE, TCOE, EOE and MCOE) to the new v3 OEs reduces your OE support cost. How much depends on the OE and the tier. It’s automatic: at contract renewal time, your support price will come down. It couldn’t be easier!
Additional savings can accrue if you’ve licensed and bought support for stand-alone software now included in the OEs— check the list against your software usage!
